DHEA - dehydroepiandrosterone, is a hormone that is synthesized in the adrenal glands. The DHEA synthesis peak in the body is about 25-30-year-old patients. Then its levels naturally decrease.
Due to a large number of biochemical reactions in which DHEA is involved, its low levels are detected through a variety of dysfunctions in the body.
