A few words about allergies 

Allergies are one of the most common chronic diseases. Chronic disease remains a long time and may occur again. Allergies occur when the immune system indicates a certain substance as harmful and reacts against it. Substances that cause allergic reactions are called allergens. When a person has an allergy, his immune system creates antibodies called immunoglobulins E (IgE). These antibodies "respond" to allergens. Symptoms that a person receives in such cases are actually an allergic reaction.

The most common types of allergens that cause allergies are medications, foods, stinging and biting insects, domestic pests, mould and fungus, animal fur, hairs and excrements, pollens from trees and shrubs.

What are the symptoms of allergies?

The most common symptoms of allergy can disturb your everyday activities and sleep. For example, you may have watering eyes, runny nose, sneezing, rash or urticaria. Other more serious symptoms, such as laboured breathing and swelling of the mouth or throat, maybe a life-threatening reaction called anaphylaxis. Most commonly it occurs in people with a pronounced nut allergy.

How can you prevent an allergic reaction?

The best way to prevent an allergic reaction is to avoid allergens. It sounds so easy but actually, it is too difficult. For example, it is not possible to avoid all outdoor activities if you are allergic to bees and other types of insects. 

But there are a few steps you can take to reduce the possibility of being stung. It is good for you to carry the medication you need if you are stung. It is important to be prepared and have an action plan against allergies.

How to diagnose allergies?

An allergic skin test can be conducted to identify the allergens that cause allergic symptoms. The test is performed by scratching the skin with an allergen extract and after assessing the skin's reaction.

If the test can’t be performed, another option is a blood test which can diagnose allergies. The blood test can identify allergic antibodies in the blood produced by the immune system. Increased levels of these antibodies can target specific allergies, but this test is less sensitive than skin testing and is therefore not preferred.

In a maximum daily dose (4 tabs):

• Quail eggs powder: 168 mg
• Zinc bisglinate: 15 mg
• (20% zinc): 3 mg (30% от RDA*)

Sweetener: Sorbitol

Emulsifiers: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate

Recommended daily dose (adults and kids over 3 years old): 1 - 2 chewing tablets before or during exposure to allergens.

If necessary, 4 chewing tablets daily.

Duration of Intake: Allergy Control can be taken throughout the whole year.
