Red algae inhabit limited territories around the clean shores of South West Ireland and West Iceland. Their life cycle lasts from four to five years. For this relatively short period, they absorb a large number of minerals from the sea.
Calcium in Coxamin K has a unique porous structure similar to honeycomb which becomes smooth after primary hydration. It doesn’t resemble the chalky grainy structure which we usually relate calcium products. Calcareum in Lithothamnion Calcareum is the most digestible calcium product. It is 20% more digestible than calcium in dairy products and over 40% more digestible than tricalcium phosphate.
The optimal absorption is due to the specific structure. Calcium in Coxamin K is separated into three polymorphous forms - calcite, aragonite (orthorhombic structure), vaterite (hexagonal structure). Calcium carbonate, for example, consists almost entirely of calcite - rhombic lattice.
Actually, Coxamin K is not only the most digestible calcium product but it is also a multimineral product. Coxamin К contains also Magnesium, Boron, Copper, Manganese, Zinc and many other minerals (74 minerals and microelements).
Coxamin K and bone density
Many factors reflect on calcium levels in the blood. With age, for example, the absorption of all vitamins and minerals becomes more and more difficult. Bone density depends on some elements: Vitamin D3 is responsible for the absorption of the most essential minerals - calcium and phosphorus. Vitamin K2 is responsible for calcium transportation to the bones.
In the mechanism that explains the interaction between the three elements - calcium ions, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3 participates the protein called osteocalcin (which depends on Vitamin K).
Osteocalcin is a highly sensitive biochemical indicator for Vitamin K status, which being in its active form, stimulates bone formation and density. Vitamin D3 in the body increases the synthesis of osteocalcin, but if vitamin K intake is insufficient, osteocalcin remains inactive (non-carboxylated osteocalcin). High levels of non-carboxylated osteocalcin are associated with low bone mineral density and a higher risk of fracture.
The other protein that is responsible for bone health is the Matrix Gala-Protein (MGP) found in blood vessel walls. It has to lead the calcium out of the arteries and soft tissues and to protect them from calcification. Vitamin K2 activates that protein, preserves blood vessel elasticity and at the same time assists calcium delivery to the bones.
Coxamin K supplies the body with minerals and Vitamins K2 and D3 make these minerals acceptable for the bones.
Coxamin K is a formula that completes the physiological cycle for intake and supplies the bones with calcium and other minerals. Vitamins K2 and D3 are not only part of the composition of Coxamin K, but they are of high quality, natural and in maximum quantities.
Boron and Zinc are essential for bio vitality of the calcium source. Magnesium minimum, Vitamin K2 and Vitamin D3 improve calcium absorption in the body.
Vitamin K2 in Coxamin K is in the form of menaquinone-7 (MK7). It is the better form of bioavailability and bioactivity than Vitamin K1 or menaquinone-4. Fat-soluble MK7 in Coxamin K is natural, obtained by fermentation of B. subtilis natto, without any synthetic treatments.
