The product is produced from calcified red algae Lithothamnion Calcareum. They inhabit limited territories around the clean shores of South West Ireland and West Iceland. Their life cycle lasts from four to five years. For this relatively short period, they absorb a large number of minerals from the sea.
Not only the natural variability of these elements is unique, but also the fact that their relationship is exactly the same as in human blood plasma is.
Coxamin Kinder has a unique porous structure similar to honeycomb which becomes smooth after primary hydration. It doesn’t resemble the chalky grainy structure which we usually relate calcium products.
There are many clinical trials about Lithothamnion Calcareum /2003-2008/ with the partnership of international universities and institutes such as Rowett Research Services, UK; Ashtown Food Research Center, Ireland; University of Manitoba, Canada; Minnesota Applied Research Center, USA; Nizo Food Research, The Netherlands. These researches prove that Lithothamnion Calcareum is the most digestible calcium product. Calcium in Coxamin Kinder is 20% more digestible than calcium in dairy products and over 40% more digestible than tricalcium phosphate.
Coxamin Kinder content is separated into three polymorphous forms - calcite, aragonite (orthorhombic structure), vaterite (hexagonal structure). Calcium carbonate, for example, consists almost entirely of calcite - rhombic lattice.
Coxamin Kinder is a multi-complex - contains about 15% elemental calcium and is rich in other essential minerals. It also contains Magnesium (1,5%), Boron, Copper, Manganese, Selenium, Zinc and many others microelements and minerals (74 microelements and minerals that mentioned in the table “Ingredients” below). Magnesium improves the absorption of potassium in the organism, Boron and Zinc participate in bio vitality of calcium source.
According to Recommended Daily Intake and EU Recommended Dietary Allowances, COXAMIN KINDER provides the recommended daily intake of the essential macroelements and minerals needed for proper development and growth of children.

For kids from 3 to 8 years old.
Dosage: 1 sachet daily after the meal; after medical prescription: 2 sachets daily.
Ways of administration: mix 1 sachet with 100-200 ml water or juice and shake well. It takes about 5-10 minutes to dissolve because of the lack of additional substances. It has a light lemon flavour.
Do not dissolve in milk!
The product is a nutritional supplement. Keep in a cool dry place out of the reach of children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use as a substitute for the varied diet.
Calcium is the richest element in the human body. It has two key roles.
A small part of it is involved in regulating life-critical functions - transmission of nerve impulse, muscle contraction, activation of some enzymes. More than 99% of calcium participates in the skeletal formation and determines their strength. Calcium constantly accumulates in the multiplying bone cells. Calcium absorption is regulated by vitamin D. The better bone development in childhood, the healthier life.
During adolescence, bones grow fast, that is why teenagers need a lot of calcium in their diet. The highest calcium absorption occurs in childhood and adolescence, and with increasing age gradually decreases. Calcium deficiency occurs not only in absolute mineral deficiency but also in an imbalance with the intake of some other mineral substances. Insufficient intake of calcium during critical periods in life determines age-related diseases such as "brittle bones". Nutritional intake of calcium should be referred to the values (depending on the age and physiological condition of the individual).
Kids need specific doses of magnesium to develop their bones, for proper muscle function and normal brain activity. Magnesium insufficiency in kids often causes complaints such as stomach ache, worry, sleep problems, lack of appetite, nervous tics. Magnesium participates in immune defence formation - it is included in the synthesis of antibodies and natural interferon (an important anti-viral molecule).
Lack of magnesium reduces increased histamine levels, which causes allergic crises in predisposed individuals. In many cases, magnesium intake as a dietary supplement within the three-month period is enough to stop complaints.
Iron is an essential microelement. It participates in haemoglobin formation in erythrocytes, myoglobin in muscles and maintains the activity of a number of enzymes.
Iron deficiency leads to iron-deficient anaemia. Iron anaemia is the most common anaemia in childhood. Usually, the reasons are early baby weaning (before the age of 6 months or even earlier/ incomplete meals - lack of meat or vegetables). Iron deficiency often occurs at the age of 6-24 months.
Мild iron deficiency is relatively asymptomatic while a severe deficiency can cause irritability, fatigue, abundant sweating. Children have pale skin and mucous membranes, they suffer from rapid heart rate and heart thrill. In severe iron deficiency may occur serious disorders such as heart failure.
Phosphorus is a basic nutritional element responsible for the formation and development of bones and soft tissues. It is accumulated mainly in bones and is vital for energy production as well as for the DNA structure.
It is important to know that in children calcium content in food should exceed that of the phosphorus, which guarantees its better absorption (this ratio is naturally achieved in COXAMIN KINDER). Phosphorus deficiency causes muscular and bone damages, slow growth and white blood cell disorders. Proper use of phosphorus helps to repair bones after fractures.
Vitamin D, also called “sunlight vitamin” acts deep in the bones. Vitamin D is responsible for supplying the important building elements of the bones - calcium and phosphorus - to the places where they can help the bones grow (in children) and to remineralize (in adults).
It firstly ensures the absorption of these minerals in the intestines; secondly, it inserts calcium from bones into the blood; and thirdly, it helps the kidneys to reabsorb the two minerals.
The total recommended daily intake of vitamin D in children (through food, nutritional supplements and sunlight, because this vitamin is synthesized in the skin) is 200 IU (5 g) daily.
