Bitter orange bioflavonoids are added to the formula of Vitamin C Liquid, of which 40% is hesperidin - a bioflavonoid of plant origin with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.

The biological role of vitamin C is related to its ascorbate form and can be divided into enzymatic and non-enzymatic functions. The most well-known enzymatic function of vitamin C is probably as a cofactor of iron [Fe (II)] and 2-oxoglutarate dioxygenases in collagen synthesis. These enzymes catalyze the hydroxylation of lysine and proline residues in specific chains, which are the building blocks of the triple spiral structure of mature, functional collagen.
Ascorbate acts even as an electron donor for various enzymes that catalyze the biosynthesis of carnitine and norepinephrine, amidation of peptide hormones and tyrosine metabolism.
Several studies have shown that vitamin C plays an important role in vascular function. Ascorbate modulates vasorelaxation by increasing nitrogen oxide synthesis or bioavailability in a number of ways.
